What is Great Escape?
Great Escape is an active day camp experience, hosted by Neighbors Plus for several weeks each summer. Camp is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Campers can attend for a day, a week, or for the summer. Camp is held on the north side of Holland at Harderwyk Ministries (1627 W. Lakewood Blvd.), serving campers entering grades K-7.
What happens at camp?
Camp is led by college-aged counselors who have just about as much energy as the campers! The counselors lead group games and sports, supervise individual and small group play, and organize crafts and theme days on site. Devotions are held on a daily basis.
Great Escape campers also go on outings to parks, beaches, the nature center, museums, and community attractions, as well as participate in a variety of community service projects throughout the summer.
Campers are provided cereal and breakfast bars for early arrivals (7:30-7:50 a.m.), lunch, and a morning and afternoon snack each day.
