Summer 2024 Location: Leisure Estates Mobile Home Park

​The goal of Meet Up & Eat Up is to ensure children are receiving a nutritious lunch, as well as encouraging kids to spend time doing physical activity and academic work throughout the summer to avoid the summer slide. 

Meet Up & Eat Up is a collaboration among many agencies to help children in various areas of Holland.  For the past several years, we have helped host the Meet Up & Eat Up program and in 2023 we enjoyed meeting approximately 180 children, ranging from age 1 to 17.  We are there Monday – Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  with lunch served at noon, provided by West Ottawa Public Schools.  The rest of the time is spent playing with, reading to, or simply just being there with the kids. 

We have 1 -2 staff members on site each day, but also rely on volunteers to come spend time with the children.  Click here to learn about volunteer opportunities!
